Welcome to Scranton Pennsylvania, a community for Google Fiber.

Through the pages of this website, we would like to take you on a tour of what we feel makes Scranton special. Building on a rich history coal mining and industry, Scranton has set roots firmly in the 21^st century and developed into a viable marketplace for business and technology.

Benefiting from partners like the Northeastern Pennsylvania Technology Institute, the Ben Franklin Technology Partners and a strong entrepreneurial community, our city has become a viable location in which to start and operate a successful technology business.

Our ultimate goal in this project is to show Google why Scranton is the best choice as a partner city in their venture to deploy and test an ultra high-speed broadband network. We have chosen to do this by focusing on the institutions, the businesses and most importantly, the people who make this area great.
